Warmly-hued jewels to be thankful for
Just the word “Thanksgiving” has an inherent warmth to its name, bringing to mind pictures of complete coziness: warm food, beloved gatherings and comfortable clothing (to not wear something forgiving on this holiday would be a rookie mistake).
The color stories associated with the holiday evoke warmth, too: orange, red, yellow, green, and brown, each infused with a golden sheen that is wonderfully pleasant to behold.
There are many gemstones that mimic the season’s go-to hues, and though every gemstone is seasonless (there’s no wrong time to wear great jewelry), they seem to get the most appreciation this time of year, when we’re happily taking in nature’s show of leaves and hungrily devouring anything that mirrors it.
Yes indeed, these stones—citrine, topaz, garnet, and more—are wonderful treasures for anyone in the market for jewelry, and a number of the ones that fall in this seasonal color palette may also be categorized as birthstones for these fall and winter months of the year. It appears to be no coincidence that this is the time for their popularity to be at its strongest.
