So Long, Summer

A look back at some of our favorite jewels of the season

Well, we did it—fall is officially here. We’re guessing about half of you have been waiting with baited breath, holding a pumpkin behind your backs, for this day to arrive. The other half has been digging their heels into the sand—preferably somewhere on a beach—refusing to let the last signs of summer pass you by.

But pass it will. The temperatures are slowly but surely beginning to dip (I know that’s hard to believe when it’s 90 degrees outside in early October, but the forecast is changing!), and the sun is going to bed earlier than it used to—soon, you’ll be closing up the store and going home in the dark.

But it’s all good news! With the arrival of autumn comes the start of the holiday shopping season, sailing clear into the post-Thanksgiving rush and straight into 2020. There will be lots to talk about. New collections to ogle, trends to try, anniversaries and engagements to celebrate. But for now, in honor of summer, let’s take a look back at some of our favorite pieces of the season.
