These Luxury Instagrammers show us how it’s done

There’s something to be said for a beautiful Instagram picture. It can inspire, awaken and brighten the day of someone who sees it. But, like anything worth doing, it is often more fruitful to go that extra step. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, but going above and beyond that can really bring that picture to life—and make a huge difference in terms of engagement on social media.

Here, we’ve rounded up ideal examples from some of our Luxury brands and designers, who show some of the best ways to go that extra mile. From putting their followers’ gemstone knowledge to the test and asking opinions to tagging other users and posting live from the scene, these engaging posts offer lessons on crafting an excellent Instagram feed.

Guessing Games
There’s nothing people love more than a good trivia question, for the chance to show off some knowledge! Showcasing a new or particularly intriguing design—or gemstone—and asking your followers what it’s made of is a great way to get some engagement, and in turn, to get them talking about your product! 

We’re Live!
In these posts, some of our exhibitors share live updates from the floor of recent jewelry shows (including JCK Tucson!). While those following along at home may not have much more to contribute than a double tap, show attendees could not only respond online, but in real life, by heading over to the exhibiting company’s booth for a visit.

Pop the Question
Often posing a query is enough to get your followers to interact with your posts. Examples here include something as simple as, “which one is your favorite?” to the even simpler, “do you like this?” Both are perfect ways to get people talking and sharing. And of course, there’s always the most straightforward of asks: to outwardly request the sought-after double tap.

Play Tag
Tagging other Instagram users featured in your photos is a great way to generate engagement, urging them to not only “like” your post, but to share it, too. Here, many companies share real-life engagement pictures that their jewelry was a part of, as well as pictures of customers wearing their creations. On the flip side, asking followers to tag their friends if you’re showcasing something they might like is a good way to get the interaction rolling, too.
