What to stock for 2020
Ah, the end of the holiday shopping season is upon us. Time to kick back, relax and take a few weeks off from work.
Just kidding! Who has time to rest when 2020 brings so much opportunity? We’re hoping you had successful end-of-year sales, with holes in your inventory needing to be filled. If you found the customer wave to be tamer than expected this year, consider this start of a new decade as a way to refresh your inventory, too—either way, something shiny and new for your customers is just the thing needed to kick off the new year.
If any of your customers planned a holiday engagement, you might be in need of some new wedding jewelry (and if they bought their engagement rings with you, they might also be needing bands). Or perhaps you’re wanting to showcase a new collection of on-trend styles to keep the winter doldrums at bay.
It’s also a good idea to consider adding a few more of your most “collectible” jewels: stacking rings, earrings that play well in groups (like studs and hoops, for example), layer-able necklaces and pendants and more. Customers needing a lift as the winter starts to feel like an endless abyss will be pleased to have those very good self-purchasing options, and they make great gifts, too.
And don’t forget those shoppers looking to make post-holiday exchanges: it may happen often or not at all in your store, but a happy customer is potentially a repeat customer, so knock it out of the park with your alternatives.
Here you’ll find jewels from our brands showcasing at the upcoming JCK Tucson show—you’ll be waiting until February to see them on exhibit, but let this be your start to planning the best show you possibly can. Time moves fast this time of year, and there’s no sign of anything slowing down before you’re airborne for Arizona and on your way to JCK.
