In this edition of JCK Insider’s Vacation Journal, we caught up with LUXURY Industry Vice President Sarin Bachmann about her beach getaway to Montauk, N.Y. We talked about everything from where she went to the best food she ate and, of course, what her jewelry essentials were for this trip!
Where did you go on vacation?
Gurney’s in Montauk—“The End.”
What was your favorite memory from your trip?
Sitting on the deck off our room and listening to the ocean. I always love going to Montauk in the summertime, but this was the first time we have gone in the fall and it was the perfect getaway. Peaceful and relaxing, it felt like we had Montauk and its gorgeous beaches and great restaurants all to ourselves.
Favorite meal on the trip?
Dinner at Scarpetta Beach in Gurney’s was amazing, and breakfast at Mr. John’s Pancake House—a Montauk tradition.
What did you have packed in your suitcase?
Workout clothes, jeans, sweaters, a clutch bag for evenings, and of course some jewelry favorites!
What was your personal style mantra for this trip?
Cozy and comfortable. We were there on the chilliest November days, so I was happy to be in chunky sweaters, jeans, and boots with the perfect jewelry complements to dress them up.
What were your jewelry essentials?
I tried to keep it nice and simple for our quick beach getaway! This Dorian & Rose eternity band added a striking touch to my everyday wear. The Lee Jones Collection diamond fairy dust lariat necklace is perfect for layering. When I wanted to wear a statement necklace out at night, the Geoffrey Scott Green Beryl and diamond statement pendant was the way to go. It truly is stunning! Nina Nguyen’s serenade vermeil bangle gave my sweaters and comfy clothes a beachy vibe. Finally, the Todd Reed disc earrings were a must-have staple for every one of my outfits! All of these designers are JCK Tucson–bound this February.
