This is a big year for JCK Las Vegas (aren’t they all?) for myriad reasons. We’ll say hello to exciting new events and features, but we’ll also say goodbye to the venue that has been the show’s very memorable home for a number of years.
As always, we encourage you to take advantage of our handy show-planning tools, along with editorial features from both JCK Insider (sign up here!) and JCK Online to stay in the know about what’s ahead. You’re going to be positively thrilled with the exhibitor list and the new show features for 2018.
Get your planners ready: Here’s what to expect.
A Fond Farewell. Since 2011, JCK Las Vegas has called the convention center of the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino its home. Those seven (going on eight) years have been momentous ones, and there are exhibitors, retailers, and press members who have never attended the show anywhere else. In 2019, the show will pack up and return to its former home: The Venetian, the Palazzo, and Sands Expo. That makes this a sentimental year, so savor it. Turn left upon your entrance to the show and wave at the Shark Reef attraction. (Maybe this time you’ll check it out?) Dine once more at the Border Grill. Walk the expansive show floor. We’ve made some wonderful memories here, but we’re also eagerly anticipating a change of scenery in 2019.
The Las Vegas Estate Jewelry and Watch Pavilion. For the first time and held directly within JCK Las Vegas, this presentation of antique and estate jewelry will offer a whole new world for show attendees to explore. You won’t want to miss your chance to visit 75 prominent jewelry and watch dealers and to see the one-of-a-kind and rare finds on display. This event is brought to you by the Palm Beach Show Group, which also handles major antique shows in Miami Beach and Palm Beach, as well as the Baltimore Fine Craft Show (for a full list of shows, visit here). We are particularly excited for this addition to JCK Las Vegas. And with new generations of shoppers constantly on the hunt for something unique, what better avenue to explore than vintage and antique?
In addition to this new section of the show, JCK is thrilled to share the new location for the JIS Exchange. Previously held at the Tropicana, this opportunity for “at-show” delivery will run right alongside JCK at Mandalay Bay. The roster promises to be bigger than ever before, so get ready to shop.
Other locations of note for the 2018 show include the Retail Experience, a new neighborhood for JCK Las Vegas focusing on innovation that turns an ordinary shopping experience into something much more enveloping; a pavilion hosted by Jewelers Security Alliance (JSA), featuring solutions dedicated to keeping your business safe; and a brand-new neighborhood fully dedicated to lab-grown diamonds. For a full list of neighborhoods, visit this page.
Talk the Talk. We are delighted of offer an extensive list of activities to show attendees, and one series that makes us especially proud is JCK Talks. For years, this educational series has covered a wide range of topics designed to teach, encourage discussion, and—as always—offer networking opportunities. In addition to the full JCK Talks schedule, additional Retailer Roundtable discussions will be there to kick it all off. Topics including social media, disruption in retail, the evolution of the brick and mortar, hiring and training your sales staff, the top trends of 2018, and attracting new customers. JCK Talks full day of education sessions will kick off on Thursday, May 31. More content will continue throughout the four show days with JCK Talks The Showcase: Friday, June 1 – Monday, June 4 and JCK Talks Afternoon with the Associations: Friday, June 1.
Visit our events schedule for more details, updated as more become available.
JCK Rocks the Bowl.
For the second year, JCK Las Vegas returns to the Brooklyn Bowl, an entertainment venue that features music and much more. A “night of food and frivolity,” as the Bowl’s website promises, gives you a place to let loose after a week on the show floor, enjoy delicious gourmet comfort food (everyone raves about the fried chicken) and an extensive drink list, and bowl a game or two. (Who doesn’t love bowling?!)
Got a LUXURY badge? You can pick up early-access tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. (There is a LUXURY VIP section available at the venue.) To ensure you don’t miss this night of great music and networking for all, JCK has announced that roundtrip transportation will be provided this year, so just sit back, relax, and let us get you there. Watch for more details soon.
JCK Las Vegas will be held (one last time!) at the convention center of the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino June 1–4, 2018. For more information, visit jckonline.com/lasvegas.
